What does it mean to be blessed? In our culture we might consider wealthy, educated, and able bodied people to be especially “blessed.” When Jesus pointed out the ones who hold a special place in God’s kingdom, he pointed to the meek, the poor in spirit, the mourners, the hungry, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, and the persecuted. What is going on here? Is there something Jesus sees that we are not able to see?
The youth of Farmington are going on a quest to open our eyes to what God is up to in our world. We talk about being a part of God’s kingdom, but what would it look like to really live into it? The Kingdom Experiment is an opportunity for youth to practice intentional living that will break their routine and allow God some space to work.
